Three questions with Adrian Bowlby
What was your first job?
In high school, I worked as a dishwasher at Smitty's, a Canadian-based casual dining restaurant. It was drudgework, for sure, but I got to work side-by-side with my high school friends during shifts. Those were some good memories!
Recommend your favourite book:
"Circuit of Heaven" by Dennis Danvers. The writer does a great job creating an alternate, dystopic universe that's driven by technology, innovation, and creating a virtual utopia. It has a cyberpunk feel akin to Blade Runner.
What energizes you at work?
I'm very solutions-focused and goal-oriented. Coming from a retail and sales background, I strive for that feeling of satisfaction when I know I found the best solution for our brokers. I'm always after that thrill of accomplishment.
