What's a quote or philosophy you live by?
“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” - Maya Angelou

I've found this quote particularly meaningful as I navigate life with parents and in-laws dealing with Alzheimer's. Feelings, emotions, and genuine connection last much longer in memory.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love being outdoors. My go-to outdoor activities are hiking, gardening, and cycling. I just love being out in the fresh mountain air.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
I've worked with some great people over the years. I'll never forget the wise words from one of my mentors, “Always pick up the phone when it rings. If you don't, you could miss out on a great opportunity.”

Janet Kenny is a Senior Property / Casualty Underwriter at Sovereign Insurance.

She has worked in the Commercial Insurance industry for over 20 years. She began her career in Ontario and moved to the west in 2006. Along the way, Janet has developed a passion for the Contracting and Construction segment of insurance. She has a common-sense approach to risk and strives to exceed customer expectations.

Janet earned her CRM and FCIP and is a graduate of the University of Toronto. When she isn't finding insurance solutions, she enjoys spending time in the fresh mountain air with her retired racing greyhounds.
