Mathieu Villemure

As Underwriting Manager, Mathieu is passionate about leading the Quebec underwriting team in building trusted relationships with broker partners.

Mathieu has been part of the Montréal Commercial Solutions team since 2013. He began his Sovereign career as a Senior Underwriter, where he worked with fellow underwriters to manage existing accounts and new business opportunities. Since 2017, Mathieu has helped shape Sovereign's cross-border appetite and guidelines and continues to oversee the placement and underwriting of cross-border accounts for the Montréal office.

No matter what the task at hand, Mathieu keeps an open mind as he develops unique insurance solutions and builds trusting relationships with partner brokers.
Mathieu holds a Collegial degree in Insurance and Financial services, and successfully completed his CIP in 2012.

In his spare time, you'll find Mathieu enjoying a day on the slopes or the golf course.
